As long as I can remember I've been performing for an audience of some sort, be it in the living room, a hall, coffee house or folk club. I was a true folkette in the late sixties and on through art college and teachers college. After marriage and some ten years of raising kids in which I didn't play or sing much, I got back at it. Songwriting workshops became my new passion and luckily the chance to meet up with Paul Mills who loved my stuff enough to help me produce my first recording, "Wondering How You Are".

Her second CD, No Money, No Makeup was released in 2000 was even more successful than her debut CD Wondering How You Are. A new children's CD is in the works.

Lorraine has a terrific lineup of musicians on her new CD.  Anne Lindsay on fiddle (Blue Rodeo), Chris Whitely on blues harmonica and pedal steel, Tom Leighton on accordion, Bob Ahsley on piano, Curly Boy Stubbs on guitar and many more.

Lorraine has been interviewed on CBC's Fresh Air and on Ontario Morning.  As well, Lorraine and her sidekick, guitarist Curly Boy Stubbs have played live on Cate Friesen's radio show on CJRT FM.

Lorraine has been writing songs for a number of years now and finds great enjoyment in taking song writing workshops with such notables as Tom Paxton, Roy Forbes, Kate Campbell, Cosy Sheridan, Greg Greenway and Bob Frankie, to name a few.

Lorraine Lives with her husband Jake, three kids, her dog, a bunny and a guinea pig, in beautiful Mono Centre near Shelburne, Ontario.  She teaches kindergarten and finds intriguing song writing material coming from the mouths of the little kids in her class.
